Inspired by the Saami yoik, this performance deals with the suppressed feelings of people nowadays and their inability to express their opinions freely and openly. It exposes the way mass media shapes public opinion and sells emotions that are consumed by our postmodern society. By digging a hole in the ground and screaming into it, the performer symbolically reenacts the way today’s people have hidden their emotions and at the same time shows their desire to express them freely in public before they go completely mad.
